Weekend Fun

Did you know you can rent kiyaks at BYU's Outdoors Unlimited?

We had so much fun at Salem Pond (as known by the locals)... its more like a lake

(Left) Notice how Tim is squirting his dad with water... yeah there was alot of that =D

Even Claire had fun!

Thanks mom and dad vdH for the good times!

Bridal Veil Falls

The next weekend, we went to Boise for a family reunion. But unfortunately our camera broke soon after we got there, and only have a few pics to share. Hopefully I will get more from other fam soon...

The next weekend was National Public Lands Day.
Not only was the entrance fee waived to Timpanogos Caves, but the $9 per adult tour was free!
So we had to make use of this great deal and awesome view/ tour!

This little guy, was making a really loud chirping noise while Claire was snacking on Cheerios while we were waiting for our cave tour... and thus getting some Cheerios on the ground. It was quite humorous. Claire wasn't bothered by him one bit- she was too busy eating to care.
(Right) cave popcorn

(Center) One of the largest Stalagmites- (Can't remember if that is largest in US or what?)

(Left) I remember trying to take a pic of the one that looked like Abraham Lincoln with his big top hat... but I have no idea which one that is now.

(Left) My personal fav: Jabba the Hut Formation (Right) You can see the pretty distinct fault line

(Left) Our camera works now... but sometimes it only manages blurry shots (the rest were taken with our wonderful sister Amy's old camera)

Gotta love Static

The hike was rigorous, but it was worth it!

On Sunday, we went to our nephew Logan's Baby Blessing

The next weekend was General Conference. (Left) Jason brought home a projector from work.
(Right) Saying hi to horses in between sessions

Getting Soaked with water with neighbor Ella

Lounging with neighbors, Mickelsons

Sharing toys with Drew
'Mom, he's touching my hand'

Becoming mesmerized by the shaking, singing, silly dog

Dancing with Thomas

She wouldn't touch the cut up kiwi, but she loved eating half a kiwi.

9 months

She found a way around our homemade barriers (diaper boxes), and to the back side of the couch... she was pretty excited to get to explore there.

'Ohh man, what was I ever thinking, trying out dirt.....'

9 months

Cute Kneeler              Loves the swing

This pic (above on the right) reminds me of my baby pics.. since her eyes are in the shadow and look dark, and uber chubby legs...(yes, she got other feature of mine, but I was a chubby baby, so that stands out in all my baby pics:))

'Ohh mama, what did I do to deserve two things on my head'

For the love of the Cheerios              Miss Twinkle Toes

More exploring... Don't these bar stools look great? My brother made them and they are so comfy!

Love her long eye lashes and curly hair (after swimming)

Our neighbor says that Claire's hairdo reminds her of an 80's rock star- long on top and short on sides. This picture exemplifies it! Notice her teeth! She has 6 teeth now, even though you can only see 4 :)

'You want me to eat this...'

Springville Art Museum- Quilt Show

Thanks to my mom's patience.. Now, I love quilt shows. My mom tried to instill a love of quilts and quilt shows when I was young, I made a few quilts (one for a teddy bear :)) and cut out all the blocks for another (that's the part I dread the most!), but nothing more. Now its fun and fulfilling. I don't think I'll attempt quilts like these... but they are fun to look at!

These two are my favorite!

This quilt looks like a painting- Amazing! Here are my two cuties, in front of a skier statue outside the museum
