We drove to Arizona to visit my parents and for Jason to present at a psychology conference. We were praying for cooler weather, due to the 100+ degree weather the week before we arrived, and because Claire gets heat rash really easily. Well we got what we were praying for... and a little more. Rain- in Arizona. This reminds me of a song lyric, "Be careful what you wish for, cuz you just might get it all, ...then some you don't want." Usually I like rain, but not when you are trying to drive through the night in a rain storm and get to enjoy the water pooling in the ruts and risk hydroplaning. But we made it there safe and sound... with some more prayers :)

I am so glad that you were able to go visit some family and that Claire had fun in the pool. I love how she just ate her book the whole first day, so funny.
We had so much fun with Claire in the pool. She loves the water. And she'll a natural kicker with her strong legs. And soon she'll be walking and you'll be running. Ha Ha, Mom
