hi lauren!! in answer to your question... i usually spray it with a layer of hair spray first and then i actually curl it with a flat iron. you kind of flip it back over on itself and it curls really pretty. i'm sure there is a tutorial on you tube somewhere...haha. good luck! your little claire is so adorable!
