Easter Weekend

(left) I made Claire an Easter basket (center) My friend Aleena, in background, had a party at her new house after her cute family got sealed together! (left) Trying to get Memphis (Aleena's boy) interested in the phone

(left) Using more extreme measures to get him to listen (right) Claire loved the balloons!

We had lots of fun at grandma and grandpa's for General Conference. It was very uplifting and motivating!

(left) Clarie was in a hugging mood. In this pic, cousin Matthew is trying to escape. Since in her previous hug, she accidentally pulled them both to the ground (left) Easter egg hunt inside since it snowed that morning... and we're off.

(left) "Yay! I got it" (center) Almost in the bag (right) "What if I want it again?"

(left) Not feeling great, and she needed some of the great outdoors to help her eat some dinner. (right) Hurt the inside of her mouth, and held her bottom lip in all day. Poor Claire has had a rough week! Let's hope she gets better soon!

finishing up march

(left)"Must get all the milk!" This girl loves milk! (right) Claire loves to climb on the couch when its reclined

(left) Claire loved watching her cousins play (right) Yay for warmer weather and bike rides

(left) As you can tell our desk needing some fixing (right) And Claire was right there to help as Jason worked to remove the unit so he could re glue it and add in supporting brackets. Good thing dad is so patient!

Last day of March- According to the doctor, I tore some back muscles. They are still on the mend, but I am doing much better.

Amy & Nate's big day!

Amy & Nate got sealed in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on a cold but beautiful morning! It was so wonderful to be there will all of Jason's family, as Amy the babe of the family, got getting married!

Here is Claire at the luncheon with her two best friends. Doggy and Teddy.

The reception was at the Springville Museum of Art
(Left)Setting up... I love how Nathan follows Claire! I think she loves it too! (Right) Two handsome boys!

(left)I can just see the gears turning in her head to figure this thing out (right) showing off for cousin Lance
(left) YAY! They finally get to eat cake! (right) Jason's sister, Jen and her cute boys

What a great day!

Dinosaur Museum

A few days before Amy's wedding, we went to the Dinosaur Museum, and had lots of fun. This was the day I got my brace off, so my ankle was a little tired by the end of the night, but it was worth it. And Claire loves her stroller, maybe since she hasn't been in it since last summer. She was really good at getting in and out! She only played "I'll hide and mom come seek me" once!

Chillin' in a cave

She loved waiving and saying, "bebe" to her cousin Logan.

As you can tell from all the pics above, Claire loves her doggy.
After the museum, we went to McDonalds for dinner. Just for memories sake, Jason ordered a large shake and while I was turned around, Claire pushed it over and it poured down by back... lovely. But it cleaned up pretty easily off my sweater and the nice employees of McDonalds refilled it for us!

And a fun picture of Claire showing off her love for climbing

Cousins

I am so impressed that Claire sat still for this pic! And that all the other cousins did too! Such sweethearts to appease us!

Jason's sister got married! And all the family was in town! So fun!

Progress

If your first attempt looks like the one on the left, try again! Yay for second chances. But don't worry both washcloths are very soft, and that's what matters, right? My mom taught me how to crochet over Thanksgiving break. But as December got busy I forgot and used these directions to help me. Something about having a kid, I can't just watch tv or a movie, I have to be doing something else, like watching/playing with Claire (most of the time), or doing something with my hands like crocheting. As the weather is getting nicer and nicer, I love to crochet in the backyard, while Claire explores.

Its fun to see your progress as you attempt certain skills. The most recent attempt on the right, I used these directions to help.

Changes

Its official. Jason will now be addressed as Master Jason! YAY for finishing his thesis, despite all the time he spent helping me after I broke my ankle! He is such a hard worker! All the nights of working late, and waking up early the next day, getting only a few hours of sleep some nights... its all paying off! (sigh) Here is Claire soon before Jason had his thesis defense (almost 3 weeks ago). She was so good to sit in her stroller the whole time! Too bad this doesn't work at church, where she is always moving around. Claire will usually sit still for a book most Sundays, but not today, unfortunately. (Today at church I asked Jason, how do all the other parents get their kids to sit still. He replied, they must tranquilize them. :)) Hard to believe that she is getting over an ear infection and had a temperature of 104 on Wednesday... I know, scary.

Another big change for me, I chopped off my hair and donated it to Locks of love! Can you tell I am excited about my new hair cut?! I am also out of my big walking brace and now wear a small ankle brace, YAY! In the beginning the doctor said it would probably take 12 weeks to get out of the cast/braces. But it end up only taking 10 weeks! So lets see, it was almost a full week before I got a cast on. Then I had the cast on for 5 weeks with no weight on it. Then 2 more weeks with cast on- but can put weight on foot and begin walking without crutches. Then only 2 weeks of the big walking brace, then freedom, yay, after 10 weeks!

Another big change for Claire, she will eat Cheerios for breakfast every morning. YAY! She was becoming picky about not eating the same food for breakfast every day. But suddenly she enjoys her bowl of cereal and a little milk. And teddy bear watching her eat is an important reassurance. She almost always seems to grab some stuffed animal to keep her company while we eat.
